Driving lessons by Cambridge Driving School

To begin your driving lessons, you will need to have a valid provisional driving licence and 17 years of age. You can apply for a provisional licence 3 months before your 17th Birthday. This will ensure your licence is with you on your Birthday to start your driving lessons. Driving lessons are carried out in a calm and relaxed atmosphere at times to suit your needs. Our male & female instructors are patient and are understanding to nervous students. Lessons will be carried out using clear, easy to understand instruction, enabling you to progress quickly and confidently.

We offer lessons consisting of 60, 90 or 120 minutes and lessons will commence from a location convenient to you, at your specified times. Lessons will be on a one to one basis with the same driving instructor.

How many driving lessons will I require?

The first driving lessons will be an assessment lesson as well as teaching. Your driving instructor will be assessing your ability to drive and control the vehicle. Your experienced instructor will be able to provide you with an estimation of how many hours you will need at the end of the lesson.

The DSA state the average amount of hours needed is 45 with 22 hours of private tuition. Cambridge Driving School's instructors gain test standard in our learners in around 30 hours or less. A relaxed and patient approach to teaching combined with our easy learning techniques enables our learners to gain confidence and ability fast.
