Driving lessons in Cambridge
As an established and experienced driving school, Cambridge Driving School provide driving lessons with a relaxed and calm approach. This, combined with our excellent teaching techniques, allows for many learner drivers to pass the driving test first time in well under the national average amount of hours recommended.
Driving lessons can start from anywhere in and around Cambridge and can finish at an alternative location if you should desire. You will be assigned the same driving instructor for the entire duration of your lessons and will have the same car for the driving test that you had taken the driving lessons in.
Many driving schools only offer 2 hour lessons. For some learners this can be to long. Cambridge Driving School's patient and friendly male and female instructors offer driving lessons from 1 hours, 1.5 hours, 2 hours and upwards if required.
How many driving lessons will I need?
The DSA state that learner driver should receive at least 45 hours of professional lessons with a combination of private tuition. Cambridge Driving School's aim is to build confidence during lessons and using our teaching methods, in most cases gains test standard with our learners in 30 hours or less.
The first driving lesson whilst teaching you to drive, will also be an assessment lesson. The instructor will assess your abilities as you progress through the lesson and at the end, the instructor will provide you with a break-down of your progress and an over-all amount of lessons you will require to reach test standard. On each consecutive lesson, your instructor will provide a progress report detailing all areas of proficiency and any areas that require further work.
